Life Rolls On made history in 2010 by offering the first-ever skating clinic specifically for people living with paralysis. The first "They Will Skate Again" (TWSkateA) was hosted at the famed Venice Skate Park in Venice Beach, CA, where individuals with varying levels of mobility pushed possibilities by proving that a spinal cord injury can't keep you from shredding at the skate park. Provided at no-cost to the public, Life Rolls On provided complimentary equipment, expert instruction, and an energetic setting with great food, music and prizes.
Due to its overwhelming popularity, Life Rolls On now hosts the They Will Skate Again Pro, which includes not only a They Will Skate Again adaptive skating workshop, but also an interactive festival village, pro skate exhibition and an adaptive skate competition, featuring a prize purse over $10,000! Truly an incredible scene, the event has attracted participants from as far as Alaska, Canada, Germany, the UK and Australia; celebrity supporters such as skate legends Jay Adams, Bob Burnquist and Christian Hosoi; and stars including Scott Caan and Sal Masekela.
2013 They Will Skate Again events took place on Saturday, April 27 in Irving, Texas, while the They Will Skate Again SHOE CITY Pro returned to Venice Beach on Saturday, July 20.
