Dear Friends of Life Rolls On,
When Life Rolls On started with humble beginnings in 1999, there was no way one could have predicted what its future has become over the last decade. On the shoulders of founders Jesse and Josh Billauer, and in partnership of with a tremendous support system of volunteers, friends and family, LRO has changed lives, inspired communities and soared to new levels of success. Proudly, we begin a new decade as a division of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, serving as its West Coast headquarters. Through this collaboration, we look forward to increasing the support we can provide to the spinal cord injury (SCI) community and enhancing the experience of our participants at Life Rolls On programs and events.
We are thrilled to introduce a new year of opportunities to continue pushing the bounds of possibility! In 2010, we are bringing our signature They Will Surf Again program to two new states and will soon launch They Will Skate Again, where individuals with spinal cord injury will learn to chairskate and adaptively skateboard! Regardless of our growth or any successes we may have enjoyed, however, we remain humble in our mission to improve the quality of life for those affected by SCI and will continue to work tirelessly on behalf of the community we so proudly serve.
With more than one million Americans affected by spinal cord injury, our work is far from complete. We invite you to join our Life Rolls On family, whether it is as a volunteer, donor or simply a friend who wants to share our work with others. While it may be cliche, it still remains true...with each of us doing a small part, TOGETHER we can make a BIG difference.
Thank you so much for your continued support and we hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Kris Nakamura
