Hello Friends of Life Rolls On,
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Meghan and I am the new Program Director for Life Rolls On. To say I am thrilled and honored to be a part of such a dynamic organization is a complete understatement. Once I heard about LRO and all of its programs and participants, I knew this was a special place and I had to become a part of it.
As the new Program Director, I look forward to working with you to ensure that the best of LRO continues to thrive. I will join your efforts to "push the possibilities" for our participants and programs, a slogan that I will continue to live by as we enhance the programs already in place at LRO. My personal philosophy that I have developed from more than a decade of experience working with those with disabilities is that we must focus on abilities and I vow to stay true to that mantra as we grow the programs, participants, volunteers and foundation, together!
Growing and enhancing They Will Surf Again events will be my main focus this year. I am working hard to finalize the Events Calendar and will have that up on the website for you soon. I have reached out to our dedicated youth volunteers to better define the scope of our youth programs in CURE SCI and Young Active Professional. I will report back on the many ways they are working to grow awareness for LRO and SCI in their communities. As well, I have partnered with some amazingly talented individuals to help LRO create a Response kit and Resource Guide so we can better serve those new to the SCI community. While this list is just a start for what the year will bring us, I am encouraged and motivated by the devotion and endless energy that abounds with Life Rolls On and its dedicated members.
I look forward to meeting you and hearing about your great experiences with Life Rolls On. Please know my door is always open and I welcome the opportunity to get to know you, answer your questions and respond to your commitment to LRO. Feel free to call me at 310-807-5488.
Pushing possibilities,

Meghan Schinderle
