TWSA #17 - June 22, 2008 (Pier Village, Long Branch, New Jersey) The debut of TWSA in the Northeast did not disappoint, thanks to the leadership of LRO volunteer Joe Levy and the hospitality of the City of Long Branch. Even Mother Nature seemed to welcome the event, as she parted the clouds of a recent storm to treat 20 surfers and nearly 100 volunteers to a gorgeous day on the Jersey shore. Special thanks to Roger Conant, who captured amazing photos of the day!

Alice Krauss and the event team of John Wyatt, Valerie Zevens and Carl Bergstrom generously donated their time to produce one of the most successful TWSAs to date. Check out photos (coming soon) from the day graciously provided by Cary Beuerhausen.
TWSA #14 - March 9th, 2008 (La Jolla Shores, San Diego, California) The first TWSA of 2008 was truly special as it marked the event’s return to San Diego after four long years. Kicked-off the night before by event partner Surf Diva with a “Retail Therapy Night” benefiting LRO, March 9’s day of surfing was near-perfect with glassy waves and a sunny sky. Photographers Susan Uston and Lenny Wiersma captured photos of this amazing day that featured 25 surfers and more than 150 volunteers at La Jolla Shores.
